Pau Aguiló

Pau Aguiló (b. 2002) is a Spanish artist working between London and his native Mallorca.

His early life was shaped by the Mallorcan countryside, where he grew up with extremely limited access to the internet and modern technologies. This isolated environment, combined with a small collection of art catalogues in his home library, fostered an early fascination with drawing and image-making.

At the age of ten, he moved to Palma, where his family was settled in a working-class neighbourhood. The transition exposed him to new social and cultural realities. During these years, he became deeply involved in graffiti and spent much of his time exploring the city with his cousins.

Later, at fifteen, while living in a remote region of Ireland, he encountered a documentary about contemporary art. The experience proved decisive. For the first time, he realised that artists were not only figures of the past but living individuals actively shaping culture. It was then that he decided to dedicate himself fully to becoming an artist.

Since graduating from Camberwell College of Arts with a degree in Painting in 2023, Aguiló has exhibited internationally in London, Los Angeles, Milan, Madrid, Asturias and Mallorca, while continuously developing and expanding his practice.

Currently based in Mallorca, Aguiló is preparing his most ambitious solo exhibition to date, scheduled for late 2026 at Galería Pelaires, widely regarded as Spain's first contemporary art gallery.
